The Elopement
Libby & Ethan were excited to marry, and decided that we wanted to focus only on each other for our wedding day. This was a day that was private and special for the two of us, and most importantly we wanted to enjoy each other’s company for this event. We wanted to share our vows in the mountain air, surrounded by the colorful aspen tree leaves. And that’s it! We were lucky that our closest family was available to join us for a small private ceremony on a random weekday morning.
It was a Tuesday morning in late September 2018 in an aspen meadow at the foot of Mount Evans. Our nieces laid rose petals in the center of the meadow. The bride was escorted by her sister, Rebecca, and the groom was escorted by our officiant, Suki the dog. It was a short ceremony that included some music, and the bride and groom meeting together in the aspen meadow. The bride wore red and the groom wore blue. Libby made her own bouquet, and all the corsages and boutineers, which were colorful and huge. See the pics!
We exchanged vows and kisses, and shared some champagne, cake, and toasts from our dear family. And from there, the bride and groom rode off into the mountains for a week long mountain trip with hot springs, fall colors, lots of snuggles, puppy kisses, and champagne! We didn’t even want much champagne but everywhere we went, people gave us champagne. It was a lovely week we will never forget.
And now, dear friends, it’s time to party. We have many loved ones, and we wish to honor you all, and share our love with you. So we decided to host a wedding party in the Spring of 2019. See you there!!
Much love,
Libby & Ethan & Suki
